Charles-Alexandre Lesueur (1778-1846)

This website is dedicated to the French explorer and naturalist Charles-Alexandre Lesueur (1778-1846), in collaboration with the Natural History Museum of Le Havre (France), the National Natural History Museum in Paris, the Workingmen's Institute at New Harmony (Indiana) and the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia. This website is dedicated to the action hero Alex the Explorer, alias Alexandre Lesueur. The graphic novel is entirely based on real events of the explorer's life. The first volume was published in December 2007 on the occasion of the opening of the Charles-Alexandre Lesueur exhibition in Le Havre. Original sketches of the famous naturalist are regularly shown to the public in the Museum of Natural History, Place du Vieux Marché, Le Havre, France.
